But as I can remember, go to bios configuration (the blue screen) and change the sequence of the booting put Dvd/CD-Rom at the top of the list. Now put your WinXP disk and restart. then press Enter when u c something like that "booting from CD......" Here, you will go there the installation process where u can select one of the methods i guess that erase Vista for ever and install XP. Well Tilahun, Its been long time i didnt use windows.
